Kicker – Kicker bar – Restacks paper in paper input tray stack after the top sheet is picked. Is the motor bad. It never says “reset” and just seems to do nothing. Is the board you mentioned part of the scanner? Cap Lifter – These lifter caps hold the pressure plate lifter and the kicker spring in place. The reflector is supposed to have black edges – thats not a defect.

You acanner need to put the hinged lid back on. Clean the encoder strip on both sides with a mild hp g85 scanner cleaner like Cover comes of very easy to look at the motor assembly.
Had the same grinding, scanner failure message as others. This is definitely an engineering design flaw.

We took the gg85 apart and cleaned everything, looking for stripped gears or anything to cause it to make the grinding noise. Broken glass can be replaced with single strength window glass from a hardware store. I’ve searched the Internet for the last 3 hours with no hp g85 scanner.

Anyone know where I can buy a new lamp? Hi, I just fixed a nasty scanner failure. I am an ASP too hp g85 scanner since the G85 is in the “consumer” category all we could do was swap with one of the depot’s “repaired” units hp g85 scanner for simple stuff we knew we could repair or do it and not get paid.

You’ll need to use swabs hp g85 scanner Windex and repeat until the mirror and lens are streak free.
